The Thrill of Hope

As a Pastor, I see that hope is such a lacking thing in peoples lives. You can live off water awhile, food for longer… but you must have hope! It’s a necessity.

The suicide rate has become alarming. The WHO reports that 800,000 people take their lives every year (one every 40 seconds.)

God’s presence in my heart tells me life is going to be “ok.” Things will work out, life is more than possessions, positions, and prestige. Whatever I lose, whatever goes wrong, I still have one constant: “the pure hope of Jesus Christ and the promises He gave us”!

This “gift” is free. It was expensive. It cost Christ His life.

Unwrap it today. Invite Christ to enter your heart and change your world. Let his “presence” replace anything else of value. There is hope; I can assure you. I’m living proof of this.

I want to leave you with some Scriptures to dwell on:

Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

1 Peter 1:3 ~ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Romans 15:13 ~ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

You see the star showed the real LIGHT of this world that was bundled up in that ol’ desert manger… this was truly the MIRACLE IN THE DARKNESS! Jesus is still that true Light and is still that miracle for you.

Jesus Christ is the answer! If you ever need somebody… I’m always available. Always. I pray for each of you and I’m wishing you a very blessed Holiday Season.

Ps. Charlie
