I’ve got a Word for somebody tonight; including myself…
Driving 20 hours in under 3 days, trying to better ourselves as Pastors/Leaders, diving into whatever it takes to better ourselves in the will of God, hitting it hard, persevering, making sure others in the future are the true focus, just let me “change one more life Jesus”; just ONE… then you pray and reflect. Wait.
The sweetest thing is you finally hear from the One that your strive to hear from. The One that guides you, loves you, directs you, calls you… have you ever just stopped and said; “PLEASE SPEAK TO ME LORD?” Then it comes…
2 Cor. 1:20 “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."
Then, you remember a simple but profound thing… He is faithful. With that, you also remember that His promises always stand true and are firm. Then you realize; He agrees with a “yes” and an “amen to it”! Then you realize His true glory in His promises. Hope hits again; over and over. Like waves. Calling from deep to deep.
Understanding, that He is in control, the vision He gives will not fail, that His promises are the most firm thing in your life, that you must hold fast to your faith, that you must stand firm, that you must rely on that fresh mercy every “manana”(for you non Texans, that’s the next day; morning), and that He brings you to “a broad place”; out of a tight; narrow place, and lastly…
That His love overwhelms you in the most needed times in your life; if you JUST look to Jesus. Because, He is the Author & Finisher of our faith. The BOOK that He writes FOR YOU is amazing, but you gotta look to the King…
Psalms 61:1 Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy.
4 Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.
Then, you lay your head down at night, knowing that the Master is “mastering” you, He’s your refuge, your strength and that you have a new full blown hope in the WAYMAKER; the miracle-worker, the light in the darkness… JESUS CHRIST!
For that, I’ll let Him have my full heart over and over and let His love overwhelm my soul. Let it come in waves upon waves; again and again. So, be encouraged knowing that the Chosen One has chosen YOU, the Master is mastering YOU, your Author is there for YOU everytime and every single morning, that He will finish what He started. Be grateful and let your heart be full. HOLD FAST, never letting go of His promises!
